The word about Skinner’s has spread far and wide. We’ve got fans sipping pints in our home county of Cornwall, across the border in Devon and way beyond!

But whether it’s a quick Betty Stogs, lashings of Lushingtons or a glass of PennyComeQuick, there’s just some places that make a pint taste even better.

We take a look at where Skinner’s customers love to drink. Restaurants, bars, bistros and pubs with great atmospheres, brilliant surroundings and of course the finest ales on offer.

Schooners – St Agnes, Cornwall

Nestled in Trevaunance Cove you’ll find Schooners – a beach-side bar and restaurant run by Chef Adam Vasey alongside local surfers Sam White and Sean Lascelles. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly place serving simple but delicious fresh fish and shellfish hauled up the beach each day. The other menu highlights include a Sunday brunch which lasts all day and street food-style bar snacks. And it can all be enjoyed alongside a lovely pint of Lushingtons by the sea.

The Lido Restaurant – Bristol

Opened by chef Freddy Bird, the restaurant is on the old viewing gallery of Bristol’s Lido and offers a wonderful vista of the pool which is dramatically lit at night. The menu takes inspiration from the Middle East and Mediterranean and uses the best local, seasonal produce, some of which is grown in The Lido’s own kitchen garden. You can expect everything from long-braised meats to deep-fried pumpkin and marvellous bread cooked in the wood-fired oven. And they’re so fond of Skinner’s that they even asked us to brew their official ‘Lido Lager’.

The Canton Arms – Stockwell, London

If you’re in the capital then make time to head to The Canton Arms – a lively but cosy traditional London boozer turned gastropub. The menu offers a wide selection of refined British classics, slow-cooked meats and smashing Sunday roasts which can be enjoyed alongside a pint of Betty Stogs. And if you’re after a quick bite to eat, try the legendary foie gras toastie which the pub has become famed for!

The Old House Church Inn – Torbryan, Devon

This old village pub doesn’t just serve a great beer – it also gives you one of England’s oldest bread ovens, panelling retrieved from a ship that was part of the Spanish Armada and three large log fires to cosy up to. It’s got an excellent restaurant too which serves local, seasonal food at lunchtime and evenings with meat and fish all locally sourced. And if you fancy a trip in sunnier weather you can enjoy a pint in a lovely, lawned beer garden which is also a great spot for a bit of al fresco dining!

North Nineteen – Holloway, London

North Nineteen offers everything from a quiet meal with your partner to live music and a good old knees up with friends. And there’s always a good selection of ales on tap including Skinner’s. The food, like the surroundings is pleasantly surprising – a range of well-cooked, impeccably presented dishes including Irish stew, steak, chargrilled chicken sandwiches and delicious desserts. It’s definitely worth a visit if only to experience some of the friendliest staff and best roasts in North London!

The Perfectionists’ Cafe – Heathrow, Terminal 2 – The Queens Terminal

If you’re passing through Heathrow’s Terminal 2 then don’t forget to pop into The Perfectionists’ Cafe. Taking inspiration from chef Heston Blumenthal, it prides itself on reinventing classic dishes with a creative and eccentric twist. That includes everything from Fish and Chips, Hamburgers, The Full English Breakfast, Wood Fired Neapolitan style pizza, and a futuristic nitrogen ice cream parlor. It’s all food that can be cooked fast with a bit of theatre and can be enjoyed alongside a bottle of our Lushingtons beer.
