Truro Cathedral is over 110 years old, but it won’t have seen anything like this! On 6th March, the day after St Piran’s Day, the awe-inspiring space will be packed with party-goers for a one-off event in divine surroundings, raising money for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity.
As well as renowned and rowdy jump jive band Company B, and Cornish sea shanties from local group Hit and Miss, there will be a silent disco – the first event of its kind to grace this hallowed ground.
A fully stocked Skinners Brewery Bar will run down the length of the Cathedral, so you’ll never be far from a refreshing pint of Porthleven, a welcome glass of bubbles, or a cheeky cocktail.
Foot-stomping fuel will also be available in the form of Ann’s Pasties and saffron buns; we are celebrating St Piran’s Day after all!
The Cathedral is opening its doors for this night of alternative praise to raise money for two important charities – the RCHT Charity and Butterfly Cornwall.
The RCHT Charity raises funds for hospitals here in Cornwall, helping them to buy new equipment, provide better healing environments and undertake critical research. Butterfly Cornwall is all about end of life care, helping patients and their families deal with these final few days with as much support, comfort and dignity as possible.
We’re so proud to be involved with A St Piran’s Night At The Cathedral, helping to raise money for such important causes in our local community. We’ll be donating a percentage of bar takings and also auctioning off our very own Betty Stogs for a first dance; Betty has some awesome moves so make sure you bid high for this!
Buy your tickets (£11) here for a great night out – we look forward to seeing you across the bar…
